Oral Presentations
The following instructions for presenters are applicable for all oral sessions in COLING 2010.
Equipment
Each presentation room is equipped with a laptop computer, a data projector, a microphone, and a lectern.
The laptops are equipped with
- Windows XP SP3
- Internet connection ,USB port, DVD player
- Microsoft Office 2007
- Adobe Reader, Flash Player ,Media Players
- Anti -Virus software
You are advised to check if your PowerPoint slides can be displayed properly using PowerPoint 2007.The computers used for presentations will have wired internet. WiFi is also available at the conference venue.
Presentation
Each talk is allotted 20 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions from the audience. Please ensure that your presentation does not exceed 20 minutes. Your presentation should highlight the problems addressed by your research, describe the approach/ methodology used to address these problems, discuss your results, and compare your work to other research.
The allocated presentation time for workshops and tutorials may differ. Please check the corresponding workshop and tutorial schedules for the exact time allocation for your presentation.
